Starting with the nation’s third-largest parade and running through road races, to festivals featuring music, art and film — the entire destination bursts with activities for everyone for eight weeks. GASPARILLA DISTANCE CLASSIC – Held Feb. 23-24. Athletes of all levels can take on the 15k, 5k, half marathon, 8k, Michelob Ultra challenges, 5k walk, 5k stroller races.
GASPARILLA FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS – March 2-3. Since 1970, the festival has flourished in Tampa Bay, attracting more than 250,000 people every year. From pottery and photography to glass, digital mediums, paintings, mixed media, wood and water colors, it’s an imaginarium of the senses. The 45th annual Gasparilla Festival of the Arts is certain to inspire.
- GASPARILLA MUSIC FESTIVAL– March 9-10. The Gasparilla Music Festival celebrates the best of Tampa Bay’s diverse music scene, highlighting local emerging acts and nationally recognized headliners. The 6th annual festival will host over 40 fun and eclectic acts to be announced.
- GASPARILLA FILM FESTIVAL– March 19-24. The Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF) is a cultural arts institution that inspires, educates and entertains through its annual celebration of film, year-round events, community outreach and social awareness initiatives, while also supporting and cultivating the film industry of Tampa Bay and Florida and making an economic impact on our region.
