winter

Winter, mad as a March Hare,

was finally making its departure.

The frenzied snows of yesteryear

had gone, no one knew where.

Winter’s bite was bitter.

The Cold War raged post Hitler.

But after the near fatal flaw,

there came a thaw.

But the kingdom didn’t come.

The peace dividend

met an untimely end,

a victim of hit and run.
