The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said 19 people had been killed across the state.

The Metro Nashville Police Department wrote on Twitter that the two victims in the city were from East Nashville, and deaths were also reported in Putnam, Wilson, Davidson and Benton Counties.

Germantown and Donelson , both Nashville neighborhoods, were hit hardest. Donelson Christian Academy is a loss. Many businesses around the popular 5 point area of Germantown are destroyed.

Wilson County schools are closed throughout the week. Other closures are expected.

Emergency shelters have opened across the area.

100s are being treated at area hospitals. Many are still missing.

Many major roadways remain closed due to overturned vehicles. Mayor and Governor have asked folks not to travel today.

Over 40 structures in Downtown Nashville have been considered unsafe

It is Super Tuesday for Tennessee, polls will be open an hour later.Some polling locations have been moved due to the storm.
