Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott on Wood Memorial winner Tacitus and Arkansas Derby third-place finisher Country House, who worked five-eighths of a mile in 1:00 together while inadvertently hooking up with Win Win Win and his stablemate.
Tacitus will be ridden by Jose Ortiz. Won 3 of 4 for over $650,000 in earnings. He should be set to stalk the pace and close down the stretch.
Country House is a long shot, but if it rains, and it is in the forecast, then might bear watching after his 3rd place finish to Omaha Beach in the Arkansas Derby n the slop.
Bill Mott has never won the Derby in 10 tries.
