The Old West comes to life before your eyes during the world’s only Fort Worth Herd’s twice-daily cattle drive. Real Texas cowhands drive a herd of Texas longhorns down Exchange Avenue in the Stockyards National Historic District every day at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Every detail of the cattle drive—from the saddles and chaps to the boots and hats – is authentic and historically true.
On May 10 they will celebrate The Fort Worth Herd, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special event, “Driving 20 Steers for 20 Years,” immediately following the 11:30 a.m. cattle drive along East Exchange Avenue and the Cowtown Coliseum Warm-Up Pen.

The Fort Worth Herd Steer can be viewed daily between drives in their pens behind the Livestock Exchange Building on East Exchange Avenue.
Drovers are available before and after each cattle drive for photo opps and questions.
