Some of you may not know that Y’all is a media brand built by Southern media entrepreneur Jon Rawl. Not only is there the recently revived Y’all Magazine (which you are reading now in it’s digital-only form); but, also the Y’all Show is a syndicated radio show that’s also a podcast.
The “Y’all Show” enters its second year of production with its 200th episode, and is expanding its syndicated reach across the South. The daily, two-hour show is an informative, unique and fun production that discusses news, sports, politics, food, music, and much more – all with an emphasis on the 16 Southern states.
Growing up on a collard greens farm in Lexington, S.C., Rawl launched his radio career in 1988. He worked as a programming executive at CMT in Nashville in the 1990s; as a reporter for Jones Radio Networks; founded Y’all Magazine – The Magazine of Southern Magazine; and also launched CRM Sports, which has garnered more than 300 radio stations as affiliates of the weekly sports talk programming. Rawl earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.; and holds a M.A. in Journalism from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss.
