Here is a simple recipe for roasted green bean appetizers. If y’all let them properly cool, you can refrigerate and serve cold also. And they are great in salads.


  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 2 tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • add a lil heat with chili powder or ground cayenne pepper
  • Add a lil crunch and an Asian fling with sesame seeds and ground Ginger
  • Wanna a lil Italian zing? Ground basil, thyme and crushed red pepper

Heat oven to 425

Rinse Beans in cold water and drain well

Put rinsed beans in a bowl or freezer bag. Add oil . coat well

Lay green beans out in single layer on baking sheet

Coat with Salt and pepper

Place in oven for 15 minutes

Serve hot or cold
