Super Bowl Sweets

Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium is set to host Super Bowl LV, as the hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the defending NFL champ Kansas City Chiefs. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

Delish.com has just released “42 Desserts To Make Super Bowl Sunday Sweet, No Matter The Game’s Outcome.”  Put your game face on for this amazing lineup of treats.

Among the delicious fun: Football Brownies, S’mores Nachos, Air Fryer Brownies, Churro Chips, Fluffy S’mores Dip, and Dirt Cake.

Although we don’t have exact data on sweet treats, research shows that Americans eat more than 11.2 million pounds of potato chips the day of the big game, followed closely by 8.2 million pounds of tortilla chips for all your guac and salsa needs and 4 million pounds of pretzels.  More than 8 million pounds of guac are consumed on this unofficial American holiday.

And perhaps the most amazing fun fact: 1.5 million people call in sick to work the Monday after the game.
