Singer-songwriter-musician Jimmy Melton drops by “The Y’all Show” to discuss his first solo effort, the bluegrass and coronavirus-influenced “Deal With This,” which pays homage to bluegrass music’s legends through a pandemic lens.
Melton tells host Jon Rawl about the inspiration behind the unique, upbeat track that is gaining traction. In fact, it was on country radio station WWYN-FM 106.9 that Rawl first heard the song playing and thought the song deserved special attention.
Melton, a native of Henderson, Tenn., is getting ready to shift from solo artist to guitar player in hitmaker Jamey Johnson’s band, as Johnson and other stars are finally hitting the road en masse after coronavirus restrictions are lifted around the country.
