The Nashville Zoo will present Zoolumination, a festival of over 500 custom silk Chinese lanterns over 600 acres. The event will be held beginning November 15th and will continue through December 30 daily. From January 2nd to February 2nd, the display will only be open Thursday through Sunday. The lanterns will be illuminated from 5-9 p.m. each night.

Chinese acrobats and entertainers will perform nightly. Hand-made crafts and delicious menu items will be available each night for guests to enjoy.

Chinese artists have reimagined your favorite zoo animals in a bright and colorful way. See lantern displays of rhinos, giraffes, elephants and dozens more in uniquely themed animal and flower scenes throughout the Zoo.

Plus, select animal exhibits will be open late, including Sumatran tiger, Andean bear, Caribbean flamingos and Unseen New World.

North Pole Village will also be open until December 23.

This life-size creation of Santa’s village features multiple buildings and a train made entirely out of lanterns, plus holiday trees and festive lights make this a must-see.

Santa will visit each night until Dec. 23. Local bands and choirs will perform holiday music on select nights.
