     Central and southern Alabama
     Central and southern Georgia
     Northwestern Florida Panhandle
     Central and southern Mississippi
     Central and northern Louisiana
     East Texas

   * HAZARDS...
     Widespread damaging winds, some hurricane force
     Several tornadoes, a few intense
     Scattered large hail, some baseball size

   * SUMMARY...
     A severe-weather outbreak is expected across much of the Deep
     South through tonight. The greatest threat will extend from east
     Texas and Louisiana, eastward across Mississippi, and into parts
     of Alabama and Georgia. Multiple episodes of thunderstorms will
     result in tornadoes, including the possibility for a few strong
     tornadoes. Scattered to widespread damaging wind gusts and large
     hail are also possible.

   of dangerous weather today. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio,
   weather.gov, or other media for watches and warnings. A watch
   means that conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms
   over the next several hours. If a severe thunderstorm warning is
   issued for your area, move to a place of safety, ideally in an 
   interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
